Our commitment
According to the Care Quality Commission, safeguarding involves “protecting people’s health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.” The Ivers Practice takes this responsibility seriously, ensuring all staff are trained to protect vulnerable adults.
Practice standards
The practice maintains:
- Effective safeguarding systems, policies, and procedures
- Prompt management of safeguarding concerns using local procedures
- Consistent, open, transparent, and objective approaches
- Staff awareness of abuse and protection for vulnerable individuals
- Zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, avoidable harm, neglect, abuse, and discrimination
Patient support
The practice encourages patients to raise safety concerns without fear of retaliation. Those reporting concerns receive sympathetic support, with safeguarding treated as a normal part of daily practice.
