Policy and training
We have an infection prevention and control (IPC) policy which all staff adhere to, with regular training, plus regular reviews of audit processes, waste management, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance.
Audit programme
The practice conducts regular IPC audits to ensure policies and procedures remain effective and current, addressing any identified issues.
Hand hygiene
Adequate handwashing facilities are available and easily accessible for all staff, with hot water, liquid soap, paper towels, and alcohol gel provided. Hand hygiene training is included for all staff.
Healthcare waste and sharps
Waste is managed appropriately from the point of production to final disposal. Sharps receive proper assessment and disposal in appropriate containers.
