Introducing our New Practice Website
We recently moved to a new practice website. You will notice that it carries significantly more information than our previous website, however it is much more than just that. Our aim is to help you with finding the best local and national support which may not just be medical. The local NHS, care providers, private organisations and charities which all support you can be a complex maze to find your way around and we have attempted to simplify this and give you tips and guidance how to do this most efficiently. You will also notice in places you can chose the level of information you want to read ranging from simple (e.g., NHS choices), in depth (e.g., patient info), up to clinical level (e.g., NICE).
A simple introduction to some of the main pages on the website is provided under our Virtual Practice Brochure.
There are multiple ways you can approach the information on this site. You can go to the main data base the practice website to find information you want either using the menu or search engine. You can go to the practice page Need medical help? Start here which considers steps you might take before booking an appointment. You can look at the main practice menu to find practice information but also look at medical information in the “health and your practice” section through the perspective of social determinants (e.g., age) or health factors (e.g., long term conditions) which are relevant to you.
This website is not a one-off endeavour and we will continue to develop and improve it. Please explore the website and we hope you enjoy the in depth information to help you understand your health including direct access to local services.
